Allan Island is a 292 acre private island at the gateway to the San Juan Island group in Washington, named in honor of Lt. William Henry Allan commander of the USS Argus during the War of 1812.Privately-owned, all guests must obtain permission in advance to visit the island, including each of its beaches, landing at the airstrip, and for any moorage at the private marina.
